Cleaning for spring

Why on earth did I use my last day of vacation for cleaning up the house? Don’t know but at least it made me happy… Managed to schedule some shopping time, too. Useful items, only (well, almost =)).

To save my stash from fur beetles I decided to throw my newer yarns to plastic box with tightly fitting lid. Forget about the aesthetics, this time.

Guess I need to let the yarns breathe regularly, although I slipped couple of eucalyptus-scented sachets into the box.

Hmm, box is quite full. Thought that it would be a piece of cake to fit them all in. Now the lid needs all my knitting books as weight to keep it tightly shut. Should I knit something or what?

An well, those not-so-useful things I bought. Seven skeins of Novita Bambu yarn. I’d like to see, how bamboo fiber behaves in use, have to make something small and quick from this yarn.

And here you can see the bamboo yarn sunbathing. Decided to start Twinkle’s Feather Scarf, knitting four strands of bamboo together (see also Raglana’s beautiful version in aqua).

Bamboo didn’t even fit into the box *sigh*…
